This sermon explores why our church exists. What is our mission and what is our vision? We take the opportunity to compare a good church that is found in Acts 2:42-47 and ask how our church is doing? What are the areas we are doing well, what are the things we are not doing well and what will change and what will be coming soon? Our hope is you will be excited about what God is doing and about what God will continue to do with our church.

In Acts 2:42-47 we see the early church building upon their relationships with one another. Here at MCBC we believe that building relationships with each other is important. This sermon explores how we can go about building deeper relationships. Deep relationships do not happen on a Sunday with a, “hi, how are you?” surface level conversation. It happens in our small groups as we share more intimate details about our successes and joys, along with our fears and failures. Our hope is you will be excited to join one of our small groups in the church.

Ephesians 4:1-16 urges us to live out our calling in life. Part of that calling is how we get involved in the local church. MCBC exists because people are involved. The church is never just a building, it is the people who are involved week in and week out. Our hope is that people will always have a desire to use their talents, abilities, and God-given gifts to help the church as we embark to serve our community and the world. Our hope is you will be excited to contribute in the church.

In our final sermon in the series we wrap up and re-iterate that various ways people can be connected and involved in our church. MCBC exists for a purpose and we the people contribute to that purpose. We examine the attitudes (both good and bad) of how people get involved in the church as we look at the book of Malachi 3:13-18. Our hope is you will be excited to make MCBC your spiritual home.
